The Author

Magdi Hanna was born in Cairo, Egypt on January 7th, 1954.
As a child he has traveled with his family mainly to European countries. After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, he worked for about 20 years in Egypt in different areas such as banking, marketing, public relations and hotel business. In 1993 he made a change of career and went into the scuba diving field as a PADI Divemaster, at the same time organizing desert excursions. During these years until today, he acquired a thorough knowledge of both the desert and underwater environments. Now a full-time desert and dive guide, he organizes trips, gives survival courses and teaches young children all the fun (and serious) stuff of camping.
